Taj Mahal
Thiruppaachi and Sengulam are neighboring villages with a history of enmity between them. Maayan (Manoj) and Machakanni (Riya Sen) meet on the day of her engagement and its love at first sight. Her marriage itself gets called off when the groom and his family insult Machakanni’s family and her romance with Maayan continues. But when her brother finds out about him, all hell breaks loose. The turned-down bridegroom is still itching for revenge and figuring out that the only way to extract it is to marry Machakanni, he pleads for forgiveness and succeeds in melting her brother’s heart. The marriage is finalised but Maayan’s friends swear to unite the star-crossed lovers. There is also a subplot of Maayan’s aunt (Radhika) trying to get her daughter married off to Maayan.

Aasai
Saraswathi “Yamuna” (Suvalakshmi), one of two daughters of an Orthodox father (Poornam Vishwanathan), comes to Madras for finishing her studies. Major Madhavan (Prakash Raj) is the husband of Yamuna’s elder sister Ganga (Rohini), who infatuates about Yamuna after seeing a photo in a letter sent by her. Meanwhile, Yamuna meets Jeevanantham (Ajith Kumar) in a bus, who gives his ticket to her as she had not taken her own. Later one day, Jeeva decides to express his love to Yamuna by writing “1 4 3” (the number of letters in “I love you”) in a letter and giving it to her, but he witnesses a group beating a boy who did the same thing, so he crumples the letter, and it is found by Yamuna, who realizes his love. One day when they were walking together, Jeeva tries to remove the dirt from Yamuna’s eyes, and he kisses her. Yamuna is angry with him. Jeeva senses it and gets wet in the rain and gets a cold. Hearing this, Yamuna meets him. Jeeva expresses that she is the only medicine to him, and he needs her. Yamuna promises she will marry him. On Yamuna’s birthday, Jeeva jumps into her house and presents her a puppy. One day, fearing that Yamuna’s father might not marry him to Yamuna, he decides to marry her in a register office, but Yamuna refuses and Jeeva leaves.

Pyaar Prema Kaadhal
Sree Kumar (Harish Kalyan) is an innocent and fun loving boy from Chennai who lives with his parents. He has a crush on Sindhuja, (Raiza Wilson) a beautiful and independent modern day girl who works in the office nearby. Sindhuja, eventually joins Sree’s office and invites him to hangout with her at the club to which Sree happily agrees. At the club, he realises, Sindhu drinks alcohol, swears freely and is a complete party girl. He comes to know of the surprising fact that Sindhu doesn’t know her own birthday because nobody except her mom knew it and her mom died when she was very young. Over time they become good friends and Sree falls head over heels in love with her.

Kadhalikka Neramillai
Ashok is in love with his boss’ daughter, Nirmala. To convince Viswanathan, he seeks his best friend Vasu’s help, who disguises as his father.

Kadal
Bergmans (Arjun Sarja), a brilliant but unruly student, is thrown out of his seminary for committing the sin of the flesh after being caught red-handed by fellow student Sam Fernando (Arvind Swamy). Blaming the good-hearted Sam for his ouster, Bergmans vows revenge and challenges to prove that evil does reign supreme in this world. Sam finishes his education and training and arrives at a village as the new Father of the local church. A local boy named Thomas of this village who is the illegitimate son of a local fisherman Chetty (Ponvannan) has grown up in a rough neighborhood, following his mother’s death and thus being forced to fend for himself.
Sam takes the rundown church and skeptical villagers in his stride and starts bringing about changes. Through a series of incidents, he also manages to get the unruly Thomas under his control and gets him to learn the tricks of the fishing trade from the villagers. The film fast forwards a few years when Thomas (Gautham Karthik) is grown up and is very close to Sam, who is now a well respected person in the village. Thomas comes across Beatrice (Thulasi Nair) when she is running away from her convent school group who had gotten her admitted to the hospital. They keep running into each other a few times, and Thomas comes to like her presence.

Yaariyan
A college student must win an inter college competition to save his college from being demolished by property builders.

Ji
Vasu (Ajith Kumar) is a happy-go-lucky final-year college student who is forced to contest elections in the college after being persuaded by his friends Arun (Nithin Sathya) and Venkat Prabhu. He incurs the wrath of the local MLA Varadharajan (Charan Raj), whose son is studying in the same college and is also contesting the elections.
In the course of events, Varadharajan’s gang attacks Vasu and his friends. Vasu’s father Seenu (Vijayakumar), a tea shop owner, advises the students to take a plunge in politics and teach bad apples like Varadharajan a lesson. Taking cue from his words, Vasu does take the plunge in politics with the backing of college students and files a nomination for the assembly election in Kumbakonam constituency. Varadharajan is annoyed and angry at Vasu’s presumptuousness and tells him to back off from the elections. But Vasu goes ahead with his plans. The rest is a sequence of events by which Vasu wins the admiration of masses and succeeds in getting elected as MLA.

Inji Iduppazhagi
Soundarya aka sweety (Anushka Shetty) is a carefree working girl, who is a foodie and enjoys her life to the fullest. But her mother (Urvashi) is worried about her obese daughter and all the grooms that she finds reject Sweety as she is fat. Frustrated by all the rejections, Sweety says “No” to Abhi (Arya) who is apparently smitten by her innocence and kindheartedness. Later, Abhi falls in love with a fitness freak Simran (Sonal Chauhan). But slowly somewhere down the lane, Sweety takes a liking for Abhi but is shattered when she realizes that he is in love with Simran. Sweety decides to join a slimming center to lose weight as advised by her mother. What happens then ?

Rameswaram
Vasanthi (Bhavana) is the daughter of a man (Lal) who does a lot of help for the refugees. She instantly falls for Jeevan (Jiiva), a Tamil refugee staying in the camp in Rameswaram. Jeevan, nurturing a dream to go back to his homeland, keeps on discouraging the girl, who is stubborn in her love. Jeevan’s heart, influenced by the pure love of the girl, starts melting slowly. Enters Vasanthi’s cousin (Bose Venkat), who is full of dreams on marrying her. He joins as an inspector in the local police station. The whole family is eagerly awaiting their marriage. Problems arise when the family comes to know about the love. Vasanthi’s cousin and his uncle try to eliminate Jeevan. They keep on troubling him, without much success. Meanwhile, the refugees get a chance to go back, and Jeevan has to go with them. He promises Vasanthi that he would come back to marry her. The family is determined to stop him. Vasanthi decides to end her life if Jeevan does not turn up.
