The plot is non-linear, starting by showing the final scene of the film. The plot starts with the protagonist being in a state of coma and living on life support. The film, from the beginning, tells two stories of the same person, one in colour and the other in black and white.
A detective from Mumbai crime branch starts investigating the incident that caused the protagonist’s (Siddharth) current state. The Detective going through his belongings stumbles upon some scribbled notes and a mysterious pill. Meanwhile, police capture two suspects and interrogate them for information.
Muralipandian (Vikram Prabhu) is the only son of Chellapandian (Sathyaraj), a disabled policeman who is now working in the State Crime Records Bureau and expresses a desire to see his son in the police one day. However, Murali is against becoming a policeman due to an incident which happened in his childhood; when Chellapa lost his leg during police duty, his wife fell down the stairs on hearing the news, leading to her death and left a crippled Chellapa to single-handedly look after the young Murali. His ambition is to become a bank manager, and he manages to get an interview for the same in a bank. While on a pilgrimage, Murali meets Ambujam (Monal Gajjar), a young doctor who is travelling with her chaperone, who is her grandmother Aishwarya (Kovai Sarala). Ambujam initially thinks ill of Murali due to unsavoury incidents which occur between them during the journey, but after she finds out about Murali’s true character and he helps her Aishwarya recover from dehydration, she falls in love with him. She expresses a distaste for marrying policemen, which impresses Murali.
Siddharth Soundaarajan (Naga) is an upcoming violinist in Chennai, who stumbles upon an accident where a teenage girl (Prayaga) is lying in a pool of blood. He rushes her to the hospital with the help of an auto driver and a couple. However, he is too late and the girl passes away holding his hand. Traumatized by the whole episode, Siddharth comes home with one of her slippers. He then drives around the city aimlessly with his red car while helping homeless people, unable to come out of the depression due to the girl’s death.
Maya is about a village called Mayavanam which is based far away from the city. Actor Aari reaches the location following his curiosity after reading a book which states that years ago, the place used to be a mental hospital. Now in ruins, the place situated among forest area is totally abandoned and people who have visited the place believe that there is some evil spirit lurking around it. The film promises some jump scares as well and the back story of the film certainly is interesting.

Kadavul Paathi Mirugam Paathi
Rachana (Samantha Akkineni), an intern with The Times of India, is working on an article on the incidents at a flyover (Hyderabad flyover in Telugu, Velachery flyover in Tamil). She also has a crush on the crime reporter Aditya (Rahul Ravindran), whose help she seeks for research material on accidents on the flyover. She finds that each day some motorists move the concrete blocks that partition the road just to take a quick U-turn and avoid the traffic. They don’t move them back and the blocks are left to lie randomly on the road leading to many accidents. A homeless man sitting on the flyover notes down the vehicle numbers of commuters who violate the rule to take the U-turn and gives the list to Rachana. She obtains the details of the culprits using her contact in the traffic department, with the intention of confronting them for their “short-cut” and writing an article for the paper. Her attempt to meet the first person on the list goes in vain. Later the same day, the police take her into custody and accuse her of killing the same person she wanted to meet. She is shocked and tells her side of the story. Though the senior police officer rejects it, sub-inspector Nayak (Aadhi Pinisetty), finds it believable and does some investigation. It is revealed that all the persons Rachana has on her list have committed suicide. They also noticed that they have committed suicide the same day they took the wrong “u-turn”. Rachana and Nayak find another number has been noted by the homeless man which is to be delivered to Rachana the next day. The duo trace the address and try to rescue the man, a lawyer, who has taken the u-turn on the same day. As nothing seems suspicious, both leave only to encounter the very death of the lawyer whom they came to rescue.
Kodi and Anbu are look-alike twins born to in staunch political worker who immolates himself in protest for a good cause. Kodi dedicates himself to carry over the work of his late father to take his party to greater heights, while Anbu puts family first. When Kodi’s love for Rudra, a fierce speaker from the rival party begins to impede his political career, he also stumbles upon a scam that shakes his beliefs to unveil a flurry of events that brings Anbu into the mix of unexpected events!
