Daas
The film begins in a small village in Tirunelveli district where a few upper-caste men hold a chariot festival. Antony Daas (Jayam Ravi), along with his friends, pull the chariot in to their slum and they naturally incur the wrath of a local leader Annachi (Shanmugarajan). Meanwhile, his daughter Rajeshwari (Renuka Menon) falls in love with Daas. Her sister Punitha (Monica) elopes to marry a lower caste boy Guna (Abhinay), a classmate of Daas.
Coming to know about this, Annachi sends his men to bump off the couple. Eventually, Annachi sets the couple ablaze in front of Daas. An angry Rajeshwari, in order to teach her father a lesson, elopes with Daas and vows to get married. The couple then seeks refuge in Nasser’s (Krishna) house in Madurai. He promises to get them married. However, coming to know about their hideout, Annachi’s men reach Madurai to foil their plans. Nasser’s father Vappa (Salim Ghouse) promises to get them united. Enters Anwar (Adithya Menon), Nasser’s brother, who plans to let loose terror in the Madurai town in the name of Jehad.

Madura Veeran

Dookudu
During the political realm of N. T. Rama Rao, Shankar Narayana is an independent MLA of the constituency of Shankar Nagar, which is named after him, in Hyderabad, and is regarded as a champion for the poor. When a truck collides with the car his brother Satyam and he are in, Shankar goes into a coma. Except his family, everyone else presumes that he is killed in the accident. His son Ajay is a police officer in Mumbai who fights against the mafia and is on a mission to apprehend Mafia don Nayak who is involved in illegal drug trade, extortion and arms trafficking.
When he heads to Turkey in an undercover operation, he meets Prashanthi, the daughter of Ajay’s senior police officer and soon falls in love with her. She initially rejects his advances which makes him give up. However, he is successful in the undercover operation and arrests Nayak’s brother Bunty. After returning to India, he again meets Prashanthi and, to his surprise, she reciprocates his feelings. In an attempt to arrest Nayak, Bunty and the police commissioner is killed and Shankar’s loyal follower Sivayya reveals to Ajay that Nayak, along with Shankar’s rival, Mallesh Goud, and Shankar’s other followers Meka Narsingh Rao and Ambarpet Ganesh, were behind Shankar’s accident, which makes Ajay plot to kill all of them.

Naachiyaar
Naachiyaar (Jyothika) is a tough policewoman in Chennai who is put in charge of solving an underage rape case. She tracks down a pregnant Arasi (Ivana), the victim, from her uncle and his goons who plan to get her an abortion. Although Naachiyaar saves Arasi, her uncle and his friends escape and go into hiding. Meanwhile, Naachiyaar’s partner, Feroz arrests the suspect, Kaathu (G.V. Prakash Kumar). He is then sent to a juvenile home, where he tells his story to one of the wardens, who is soft-hearted towards him.
Through flashbacks, we see how Kaathu and Arasi first met. Both are still teenagers from the slums but they do not go to school but are forced to work to help support their respective families. Arasi works as a maid at wealthy families’ homes while Kaathu does odd jobs for a living. One day, while her employers are away, Arasi invites Kaathu into the house where they (impulsively) make love. However, Arasi quickly regrets and pushes Kaathu away, who leaves upset.
