Oru Thekkan Thallu Case
Muralipandian (Vikram Prabhu) is the only son of Chellapandian (Sathyaraj), a disabled policeman who is now working in the State Crime Records Bureau and expresses a desire to see his son in the police one day. However, Murali is against becoming a policeman due to an incident which happened in his childhood; when Chellapa lost his leg during police duty, his wife fell down the stairs on hearing the news, leading to her death and left a crippled Chellapa to single-handedly look after the young Murali. His ambition is to become a bank manager, and he manages to get an interview for the same in a bank. While on a pilgrimage, Murali meets Ambujam (Monal Gajjar), a young doctor who is travelling with her chaperone, who is her grandmother Aishwarya (Kovai Sarala). Ambujam initially thinks ill of Murali due to unsavoury incidents which occur between them during the journey, but after she finds out about Murali’s true character and he helps her Aishwarya recover from dehydration, she falls in love with him. She expresses a distaste for marrying policemen, which impresses Murali.

The film, however, follows familiar pattern of Spanish original, wherein a corpse mysteriously disappears from the city morgue. This leads to summoning of police officer to investigate the case of missing body. As usual needle of suspicion falls on woman’s husband. While Spanish film is noir genre cinema, Ramesh’s Game with its taut and gripping screenplay, is aptly tailored to suit the Indian audience’s palate. How, no-nonsense, smart cop Sharath Chandra unravels the truth; whether high profile lady Maya, has been murdered, is it a case of catalepsy, or case of drunken driving, hit and run, behind it, forms the fulcrum of eerie and edgy Game set in specially constructed forensic lab.
Oru Ponnu Oru Paiyan
Sakthi (played by Sandeep) is the only son of Sharath Babu and Bhanupriya. Having tired of urban living, the elderly couple takes up residence in a village along with their son. Viswanathan (Madhu) is the head of the village. He is highly respected for his fairness and for his love and compassion for the poor. His granddaughter (played by Roopa) is a village belle. She catches Sakthi’s attention as she flits around the village like a butterfly. The two are drawn towards each other and eventually fall in love. Their affair has the tacit blessings of Viswanathan. But it is not going to be a bed of roses for the two as trouble brews up in the person of Sakthi’s ex-flame, city-bred glamour girl played by Shubha Punja.
Vandiyathevan, sets out to cross the Chola land to deliver a message from the Crown Prince Aditha Karikalan. Kundavai attempts to establish political peace in the land seemingly civil war plotted by vassals and petty chieftains.
PRV’s family who lives with his two wives and children in Ramnad district.. Also, there is a family who is convinced that PRV’s family only caused the death of his brother. The movie narrates many incidents that happen in the two families.
Kaaliyan and Jaishankar are like dictators in neighboring villages separately, but in contrast to Kaaliyan, Jaishankar is selfish and bad. Engagement of Jaishankar’s sister with Kaaliyan triggers rivalry between the two villages.
