Dum
Satya (Silambarasan) is the son of a police constable. He gets into fights and ends up in jail where his own father gets him out on bail. While he is returning home from a party drunk, a group of college students beat him up. That is when Suchitra (Rakshitha) comes and takes him to the hospital and gives blood. She is the daughter of a police commissioner. Later, Satya falls in love with Suchitra. That leads to several problems which are faced bravely by Satya in the later part of the film. Finally, all goes well, and Satya also receives the letter confirming his selection for IPS.

Kanagavel Kakka

Thamizh
Thamizh (Prashanth) leads a happy life with his mother (Manorama) and sister-in-law Kalaichelvi (Urvasi). Thamizh’s brother (Livingston) is working in Kuwait, and he too dreams of joining him there. Their tenant Meenakshi (Simran) and Thamizh fall in love. When the goons of Periyavar (Ashish Vidyarthi) injure Thamizh’s niece, he stops Periyavar’s car on the road and questions him. He then beats up one of Periyavar’s goons when insulted. This makes him Periyavar’s target, and though he tries to withdraw from the violence, he is forced to join forces with Rathnam (Nassar), Periyavar’s sworn enemy, and eventually defeats him.

Thenkasi Pattanam
Kannan and Dass are two famous rowdies in their village. Dass has a sister called Uma with whom Manikkampillai (shortened as ‘Mapillai’) is in love but she is not interested in him. Mapillai joins Kannan’s and Dass’ firm KD & Company as the manager, in an attempt to win the love of their sister. KD & Company once keeps as hostage a music troupe who comes to their village to perform. The main singer of that troupe, Sangeetha gets expelled from her home because of this and so Kannan and Dass gives her refuge upon insistence from Uma. Meenakshi is the childhood friend of Kannan with whose father, both Kannan and Dass has enmity.

Masani
The movie takes place in a village in the Salem District where various sculptors come to make a statue. The village head (Sarath Babu) and his wife Rajeshwari (Roja) try to bring in sculptors to complete the statue. However, anyone who comes for the job is driven out of the village by a ghost. The villagers decide to entrust the job to another big man Devanna Gounder (Aadukalam Naren). Trouble erupts between the two families. A flashback reveals the reason for this. Vettri (Ramki) and Masaani (Iniya) make their appearances, where the audience learns of their love for one another. Agitated, Rajeshwari kills Vettri. Masaani dies delivering a boy named Vishva (Akhil). Vishva grows up and comes to the village to finish the task.

A man, surrounded by birds, hangs himself to death at a cell tower. Elsewhere, the scientist Vaseegaran introduces Nila, his new humanoid robot, to a group of students. A little later, a student’s smartphone starts flying all on a sudden, exhibiting avian characteristics. Before long, cell phones all over Chennai begin to fly away, leaving the city in chaos. At an emergency council meeting initiated by the government, Vaseegaran enunciates that it is beyond conventional science to fight what he considers a fifth force, and proposes reinstating Chitti, which was dismantled in 2010. But Dhinendra Bohra, who lost his father, Professor Bohra, to Chitti’s anger,[a] opposes, and the council decides to seek help from the military, thereby vetoing Vaseegaran’s proposal.
The growing stream of cell phones leave havoc in its path, killing a mobile phone wholesaler Jayanth Kumar, a transmission tower owner Ranjit Lulla and the state’s telecom minister Vaira Moorthy. To prevent further damage, S. Vijay Kumar, the Home Minister, unofficially gives Vaseegaran permission to rebuild Chitti. Chitti traces the mobile phones, which have taken the form of a giant crow, and they fight, during which Chitti’s battery power is depleted and it starts searching for a power source amongst three huge signal transmitters. To Chitti’s surprise, the crow is unable to penetrate the field of transmitters and suffers damage while attempting to do so.
