Vathiyar
Dorai (Arjun) is a do-gooder don, but a police force led by ACP Easwara Pandian (Prakash Raj) and his sidekick (Sathyan) are after him. However, the poor need him as he is a Good Samaritan running an orphanage. He has help from his friends Subramani (Manivannan) and Ayyanar (Vadivelu). Dorai has a problem: his mother (Sujatha) doesn’t approve of his ways and feels he is just a loutish goon. There is also TV journalist Anjali (Mallika Kapoor), who is in love with Dorai because of his daredevil ways. Dorai has a past: he was just an honest-to-goodness schoolteacher who ends up as the deathly Dorai after a fire ravages a school and kills several children. The incident forces him to take on the system of venal officials and politics. Now, Dorai’s biggest task is to nip a dark and dire politician who wants to bomb the city. The rest, as they, are all cinematic clichés.

Thamirabarani
Bharani, who lives with his uncle Saravanan, loves Bhanu but cannot marry her as her family and his uncle share an unpleasant history. To win his love, he tries everything to unite the two families.

Viswasam
A village ruffian, who settles disputes in his native, takes on a big shot when he tries to sort out the rough patch in his marriage after several years.

Masilaamani
Maasilamani aka Maasi (Nakul) is an orphan living in a lower middle class colony. With a heart of gold, he is a popular guy who takes up local issues, fights for them, and is considered a rowdy by those who do not know him. Enters the heroine Divya (Sunaina), a rich upper middle class girl who is a dance instructor and with whom Maasi falls in love at first sight. Divya shows aversion to his rowdyism and gets offended with his proposal. Maasi attempts to win her family by being a good person and dons another name, Mani. All are aware that Mani and Maasi are one person except Divya. When Divya finds out the truth, she gets into a dilemma as whom she has to choose. Bhoopathy (Pawan), the local corrupt sub-inspector who is also behind Divya, is determined to flop Maasi’s plans and prove Mani is Maasi. How Mani wins over Divya serves the climax of the movie.

I
A top shot model Diya (Amy Jackson) falls in love with Mr. Tamil Nadu Lingesan (Vikram), and together they become the most wanted model pair in the country. When Lingesan rejects an advertisement of a wealthy businessman (Ramkumar), who gave him the big break into ad world, he plans revenge against him. Now, he is joined by a greedy model (Upen Patel), lusty doctor (Suresh Gopi) and a trans-gender stylist who are out to cause massive damage to Lingesan’s life which is worse than death. The rest of the story is how Lingesan takes revenge against these powerful people in the society.

Kalvanin Kadhali
Sathya (S. J. Suryaah) is a casanova by character and pursues Tina (Shradha Arya), a woman around. He sets his sights on Haritha (Nayanthara) and manages to woo her. She loves him whole heartedly and he is not in favor of that. At one moment he falls for Haritha, but at the same time, she comes to know about his real character, and she ends their relationship. The story is about how Sathya changes himself and earns her love back.

E
The movie revolves around Easwaran alias E (Jiiva), an orphan brought up in the musty, teeming slums of Chennai by an old woman. For him, money is the thing in life. He comes across Jothy (Nayantara), a bar dancer who settles down in the same locality. After a few encounters, they get acquainted with each other. E’s simple ways attract Jothy. Coming to know of E’s past, Jothy tries desperately to correct his ways and set him on the right path. Meanwhile, Dr. Ramakrishnan (Ashish Vidyarthi) takes up the task of testing a medicine devised by a foreign company, which may come handy in killing people in thousands, especially during times of war. Ramakrishnan chooses Jothy’s sister and E’s grandmother as specimens for the test. He cashes in on the ignorance to slum dwellers. Things take a turn when E rescues Ramakrishnan from a murder bid by Nellai Mani (Pasupathy). A sequence of events brings Mani and E together. Without knowing Mani’s motive, E hides him in a secret place and decides to hand him over to Ramakrishnan for a huge sum. Slowly, E gets attracted by Mani’s good ways. Through him, E comes to know of Ramakrishnan’s ulterior motives. Mani, a revolutionary fighting for a cause, tries to bring about a change in E’s heart. Succeeding in his attempt, Mani lays down his life, leaving E to complete his task. The rest is all about how E puts an end to Ramakrishnan and his evil ways.

Miruthan
Despite qualifying for armed force, Karthik (‘Jayam ‘ Ravi) prefers to be a traffic cop in Ooty as he believes that such a no risky job would help him get enough time to look after his cute little sister Vidhya (Baby Anikha). Karthik also has a short lived one side love story with Renu (Lakshmi Menon), who is a doctor. When a hazardous chemical in the nearby industry gets leaked, a dog consumes it and turns into a zombie. As the dog bites a watchman, he too becomes a zombie and eventually, the virus spreads rapidly across the town. Can Karthik save his sister and the city ?

Chasing
A brave police officer saves a girl from getting abducted. Although the motive for the crime seems unclear, she and her team investigate and connect the dots, leading them to a drug mafia.

Masani
The movie takes place in a village in the Salem District where various sculptors come to make a statue. The village head (Sarath Babu) and his wife Rajeshwari (Roja) try to bring in sculptors to complete the statue. However, anyone who comes for the job is driven out of the village by a ghost. The villagers decide to entrust the job to another big man Devanna Gounder (Aadukalam Naren). Trouble erupts between the two families. A flashback reveals the reason for this. Vettri (Ramki) and Masaani (Iniya) make their appearances, where the audience learns of their love for one another. Agitated, Rajeshwari kills Vettri. Masaani dies delivering a boy named Vishva (Akhil). Vishva grows up and comes to the village to finish the task.
