The film begins with the young man Sudaleeswaran aka Eesa (Vignesh) killing a salt pan owner in a remote village in Thoothukudi. Eesa lives in a small hut with his wife Selvi (Lakshana). He then continues to kill a couple of salt pan owners and bumps them off in his hut. Thanga Malai Annachi (Thoothukudi M. Rajendran) is the local bigwig and the owner of a salt pan in which Eesa works. Upset to see his partners and friends killed by a mysterious person, Annachi starts to kill all his enemies. He then finds out that the killer is Eesa, so he sends the police to catch him. The police discovers multiples corpses in Easa’s hut, including Selvi’s. It is revealed that Eesa lives in a world of his own and believes that Selvi, who was killed a few months back, is still alive. He keeps her body in his hut and kills the murderers. A few months back, Eesa, who spent most of the time with his friend Kadukkai (Singampuli), fell in love with Selvi. Selvi accepted his love, and they got married. She later became pregnant. One day, Selvi saw Annachi and his gang brutally murdering a government official and his wife. Selvi questioned them, resulting in her brutal murder. Eesa, who was working in the salt pan, heard a cry of pain and discovered his wife in blood. Eesa tried to save her, but she died in his arms. The rest of the story is how Eesa killed Annachi.
To earn some quick money through betting, Ravi, a jobless youngster, crosses path with Bittu, a criminal, by foiling his bank heist. Since then, Ravi has to use his wits to escape the wrath of Bittu.

But Lingam’s father is against his ways. He often compares him with his elder brother Chandran (Adhitya Menon), who runs a software firm in Hyderabad and is caring towards the family. Lingam falls in love with Radhika (Ramya Nambeesan) and he decides to make her sister Indira (Meera Vasudevan) enter wedlock with his brother. After their marriage, Chandran takes Indira to Hyderabad. But she comes across a startling truth that Chandran is none but a dreaded don in the capital city of Andhra Pradesh and that had hid this truth to his family. The onus now falls on Lingam to set things right. He promises Indira and Radhika that he would bring his brother back to right ways. But a hindrance to his mission is Boppala Ram Babu (Ravi Kale), who has a score to settle with Chandran. Does Lingam succeeds in his mission or not forms the climax.

The plot is woven around two central characters Paandithurai and Nayagam (both debutants) who detest each other and are at loggerheads all the time. The fathers of the respective youngsters remain friends through thick and thin. Things go haywire when Paandithurai feels Nayagam abducts the chairman post of the village from him. What follows is a series of feuds between two groups and how one tries to falter the other. Also involved in the plot is the romance between Paandithurai and Kayal (another debutant) who belongs to the Nayagam camp.

The film opens with a flashback showing the family feud between families of Prabhakaran (Vijayakanth) and Bhavani (Indraja). Prabhakaran and Bhavani are in love. The murder of Bhavani’s father, is wrongly accused on SP’s father. He starts to help Bhavani’s family and mortgages his own house to finance her factory with the intention of making it up to them as he still believes that it’s his father who killed Bhavani’s father. But Bhavani is now trying to take revenge for her father’s murder. SP’s mother is now on her deathbed. While in the hospital, his mom tells how his father had a different wife and he should ask them forgiveness. He storms into Bhavani’s house and accuses her uncle (who really killed Bhavni’s dad), also trying to make her understand the truth but she doesn’t believe him. Then Prabhakaran says he doesn’t love her any more and vows that he will never trust a woman by remaining a chronic bachelor forever.
