After the day is over, Pugazhendi will find his and his loved ones’ lives in danger as the state’s machinery, as well as goons, gather together to extract vengeance.

The story takes place over two timelines. The first of which involves 14 year old sisters Jade and Billie Wesker moving to New Raccoon City. They come to realise that their father may be concealing dark secrets that could destroy the world. The second timeline takes place over a decade in the future, where only 15 million humans remain, with over 6 billion animals and people being infected with the T-virus. It follows Jade, now thirty, in her efforts to survive in this world.

Set in the city of Chennai, the narrative follows the love story of Yamuna and Vettri, childhood sweethearts. Yamuna works the night shift as a customer service representative at a telecom company, while Vettri is employed at a regular day job. Due to their different work timings, the couple usually rendezvous in the wee hours when the roads are desolate and the city is still asleep. One such night, Yamuna (Shruthi) is abducted by sex traffickers while returning from work and her disappearance sets in motion a desperate mission by Vettri (Dhruvah, debut) to save her. The kidnappers run an underground network with international thugs who earn millions by exploiting their human cargo. Trapped along with Yamuna, are three other girls who have also been tricked and captured to be sold to the highest bidder. Desperate and terrified, the girls have only each other for support in this ordeal, till they reach their destination.

Meanwhile, there is a big mafia gang led by Simmakkal Ravi (Sharath Lohitashwa), who rules Madurai with an iron fist. Sethu (Vikranth), a friend of Siva, helps him woo Malar. Sethu helps his ex-lover Amudha (Krithi Shetty) escape from Ravi’s chief henchman Bharani (Harish Uthaman). Meanwhile, both Nagaraj and Sethu get killed by Ravi. Siva and Kalyanasundaram draw up separate plans to eliminate Ravi. Kalyanasundaram hires a hit-squad to do his bidding, while Siva monitors Ravi’s activities closely, biding his time for the right moment. The hit squad makes a failed attempt at Ravi, and he tracks the source down to his father. Just as Kalyanasundaram is about to be ‘found out’ in a trap set by Ravi, Siva interferes and manages to secure his father. Siva continues to be on Ravi’s heels, but he too gets exposed, and the story culminates with Siva mustering up all his courage strength out of his survival instinct. Siva kills Ravi and his associates and manages to retrieve the cash that his father had paid to the hit-squad.
