
Thanikattu Raja
A young mechanic falls in love with a rich girl; her father plots to break their relationship, as a result, the mechanic murders a manager while trying to save the girl’s honor.

Urumi

Takkari Donga
The film starts with Shakeel (Rahul Dev) killing his own brother for information, which is also known to Veeru Dada (Kolla Ashok Kumar). In the encounter, Veeru jumps off into a river from a cliff. After 18 years, we have Veeru with a leg cut off giving info to Raja (Mahesh Babu), a mischievous thief who robs banks in style. Raja gives Veeru a share of 50% for all his tip offs. Raja becomes more daring as the price tag on his head increases by thousands. There is another mischievous thief Panasa (Bipasha Basu). She and her uncle follow Raja so she can dupe him and escape with all the looted money. As the things go on a frolicking way between Panasa and Raja, Shakeel is searching for Veeru. Veeru realizes Shakeel will kill him soon. Hence, Veeru offers a big diamond to Raja and asks him to escort his daughter Bhuvana (Lisa Ray) to his brother Dharma’s place.

Metro
The film begins with Arivazhagan (Shirish Saravanan) along with his friend locking up an unknown man and torturing him with a camera filming the whole incident. The movie then turns to a flash back, where Arivu narrates how happy he and his family was. Arivu who is a writer for a press and the eldest son of a retired Police Head-constable and his wife, has a brother named Madhi who is a 1st year Engineering student. Arivu’s Middle-class family life is however happy with his friend Kumar (Sendrayan) mingling as one of the family. Problem begins when Madhi who is pressured by his Girl friend to get an expensive bike, persuades his family to get him a bike. Though hesitant at first, they agree to get him a bike of his choice. However, delay in getting his bike and seeing his classmate Ganesh (Nishanth) spending casually makes him curious to know what he does for money. This is when he is introduced to the heinous crime of chain snatching. Ganesh introduces him to Guna (Bobby Simha) who is heading a gang of young college going chain snatches. Madhi joins the gang and starts to earn through chain snatching, and gets all the things he wants. [3]

Ayan
Deva (Suriya) arrives at the Chennai International Airport after running an errand for Arumuga Dass (Prabhu Ganesan) of smuggling pre-release unlicensed movies on DVD. The two leave for their hideout and instruct Dilli (Karunas), a hearing-impaired assistant of Dass, to make copies of the DVD. Just when police crews arrive into their vicinity, Dass informs Deva and the rest to leave. Deva tells the others to leave while he quickly sets up the burning process. Deva also leaves the hideout just in time. However, the police officers arrive at the hideout, only to see the burning process of the DVDs complete. The police then seize the DVDs and computers. The inspector, who was a friend of Dass, tells him that he can close the case if one of Dass’s men agrees to the crime. Deva attempts to go, but another man, Chitti (Jagan), who had no affiliation to them volunteers, takes the blame. Later, Chitti joins Dass’s group and befriends Deva.

Motta Shiva Ketta Shiva
ACP Shivakumar IPS (Raghava Lawrence) is a corrupt police officer who gets transferred to Chennai and misuses his power to gain money. During this process, he encourages an MP named GK (Ashutosh Rana), who has become a headache to Kirubakaran (Sathyaraj), the Police Commissioner of Chennai. Shiva is Kiruba’s son, who is angry on the latter as his negligence killed his mother (Sukanya) and sister, though Kiruba left his wife in the hospital to save several families in a riot. Shiva left Kiruba and became an IPS officer to seek revenge on him. Shiva meets Jaanu (Nikki Galrani), a journalist working for Sun News; and Nithya, a philanthropist who works in a coffee shop. Shiva loves Jaanu but gets rejected by her because of his corrupt nature. Nithya is killed by GK’s brother Sanjay (Vamsi Krishna) when she tries to save a techie from getting raped. Shiva then turns against GK. Shiva challenges GK to save Sanjay from getting arrested. GK manages to kidnap the techie. But with the help of a transgender that witnessed the murder of Nithya, Shiva arrests Sanjay and challenges GK to bring Sanjay out of jail within three days. Kiruba and Shiva are reunited, and Shiva’s marriage with Jaanu is approved. On the third day, GK’s men kidnap the transgender and Jaanu. The transgender gets killed. Shiva receives a call from GK, who has kidnapped Jaanu and Kiruba and challenges Shiva to save them by bringing Sanjay to him. Shiva reaches the spot. On arriving, he finds Kiruba dead and Jaanu attached with a bomb. Shiva kills GK’s henchmen. At that time, Shiva’s service vehicle reaches. GK and his partners are thrown into the vehicle, on which petrol is poured. Shiva shoots the van, and they die in the blast. Later, Kiruba is revealed to be alive, and Shiva reunites with him once more.

Billa 2
Small-time diamond smuggler David befriends Goa-based gangster Abbasi. But when David begins to build inroads with an international gangster, Abbasi is not happy. Soon the two turn into bitter rivals.

Maasi Veedhi

Ivan
Partibhan plays the role of Jeevan who is a tempo driver. Soundarya plays a classical singer whom Partibhan loves, but is destined to marry Meena who in the film is a Telugu girl and speaks a mixture of Telugu & Tamil, and is a devoted fan of Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi. The relationship between the man and the two women in his life is the crux of the story. He has done justice to the role of Jeevan. Meena is loud and she has carried the role with ease. Soundarya is dignified.

Puli Murugan
Murugan has a rivalry towards tigers from childhood. From childhood he gets trained to hunt tigers,which are danger to villagers. Now he is Pulimurugan, but he has to face the tigers as well as the dangerous humans, as he is forced to move out of forest. This forms the rest of the story.

Rubaai
Two friends Bharani (Chandran) and Babu (Kishore Ravichandran) drive a commercial mini-truck for their livelihood. Hailing from Theni, they bought the vehicle on a loan and are due for payment. Luckily, they get an order to deliver the goods to Chennai. Despite the order, they fall short of money. To bridge the difference, they accept a ‘package and movers’ job from Kunkumarajan (Chinni Jayanth). Kunkumarajan is a poor widower who lives with his daughter Ponni (Anandhi). While moving the belongings to the mini-truck, Bharani falls in love with Ponni. Due to unforeseen reasons, the destination house is unavailable for rent. An entire night, they wander around Chennai in search of a house to move-in; with their belongings in the mini-truck.

Avane Srimannarayana
A corrupt, maverick police officer takes on a bandit chief to recover a hoard of treasure which has been missing for years.
