The film begins seven years later after the events which occurred in the prequel Sandakozhi. Balu (Vishal) arrives from New York City seven years later to his birthplace. He and his father Durai Ayya (Rajkiran) have to protect a young man from a woman who has sworn vengeance on his entire clan. Balu and Durai are often compared to a couple of lions, and the two characters behave so. This is why when Pechi (Varalaxmi Sarathkumar) and the men in her family try to hunt down Anbu (Johny Hari), the last male in a clan they have sworn revenge against, because of her husband’s live murder in front of the whole village, but they are unable to do anything. Meanwhile, Balu falls for Sembaruthi (Keerthy Suresh), a village damsel, after losing his loved one seven years ago, Hema (Meera Jasmine). The rest of the film shows how Balu deals with his ups and downs of his family problems given by Pechi and the massive hospitalization of his father after a slit in his throat.

After Chennai-based Shakhti Mathur gets into fisticuffs with goons, his mother, Kamini, decides to send him to her parents’ house in the country. He re-locates there, and ends up falling in love with Neelima Pandey, who is betrothed to Karan Joshi, and the only daughter of Shankar Pandey, who has total control over a town called Thiruvatchi. When Shankar finds out, he has Neelima forcibly abducted, even cancels her wedding with Karan, and decides to wed her to Bhairav. Shakthi’s attempts to rescue her will not only jeopardize his life – but also the lives of his parents – who are being held captive by an enraged Shankar and his army of goons.

Sakthi (played by Sandeep) is the only son of Sharath Babu and Bhanupriya. Having tired of urban living, the elderly couple takes up residence in a village along with their son. Viswanathan (Madhu) is the head of the village. He is highly respected for his fairness and for his love and compassion for the poor. His granddaughter (played by Roopa) is a village belle. She catches Sakthi’s attention as she flits around the village like a butterfly. The two are drawn towards each other and eventually fall in love. Their affair has the tacit blessings of Viswanathan. But it is not going to be a bed of roses for the two as trouble brews up in the person of Sakthi’s ex-flame, city-bred glamour girl played by Shubha Punja.
The film begins at a journey in train where Paari (Jiiva) looks back at everything. Cut to the beginning, one remote village in Ramanathapuram. Paari is a do-gooder helping everyone in need. A magnanimous man, he gives anything and everything to others if they ask for. Promising his father Vasu (Azhagam Perumal) to earn more, Paari sets out to Chennai but faces more challenges. He meets a young girl Madhi (Poonam Bajwa) and falls in love with her. Some goons also cause trouble for Paari. Meanwhile, Sivamani (J. D. Chakravarthy), the dreaded but sophisticated don of the city, is getting ready to marry Madhi. When the two stories meet, chaos ensue. It is up to Paari and Sivamani to sort it out.
