Two villages in the southern suburbs of Theni share the same God as their “Kula Dheivam”, and the idol is to be shared between them during festivals.
Oothukattaan is a rich big shot in his village. He has a grudge against the other village as he was insulted by them a long time ago. Since then, he promised himself to keep the God’s idol in his village. In order to destroy the neighboring village, he plans to evacuate the entire village population. He uses his power and wealth to stop government projects and welfare facilities from reaching the other village and make it a barren land, which forces people to evacuate and move to other places in search of livelihood. He helps the jobless youths in that village get jobs in neighboring cities, thus reducing the population of the other village.
Chotta (Daniel Balaji) is a terrorist, known for bombing various places in the past. He is currently jailed in a prison in Uttar Pradhesh, India. He escapes the jail by planting a bomb there and moves to various cities across India, while planting bombs everywhere, killing many people. His next target is Chennai and he heads towards the city to complete his mission. He often takes lifts from various vehicles across the highway. He communicates with his associates using a Gmail account, by composing his messages, saving them as drafts and providing the login details to his associates, who login later and delete the drafts meant for them after reading. Thus, their IP addresses remains untraced. The police issue a red-alert across the country and issue an order to arrest Chotta, all over India. His photo is faxed to all the police stations, who begin their search.
Ninaive Oru Sangeetham
Pasupon, right in the heart of the Tamil campaign. Marudhu (Vijayakanth), farmer with a big heart, stays the up its elder sister Vallikannu (Srividya) married to a good-for-nothing, Chinnukaruppandevar (Goundamani), as well as his niece, foster daughter, beautiful Pandhimeena (Radha). Michael Madana Kamarajan
Venugopal, a wealthy industrialist, marries a woman named Sushila and they have quadruplets. His brother Nandagopal tries to have her and the newborns killed by hired goons. However, the leader of the goons has no desire to kill the babies, so he adopts one (Michael), leaves one in an orphanage (Raju), one in a temple (Kameshwaran) who is picked by Palakkad Mani Iyer, a Brahmin, and one (Madhan) in a car that belongs to Venugopal.
30 years later, Madhan is now a London-educated businessman. Venugopal has raised Madhan as his adopted son, not knowing that he is his biological son. Venugopal is killed by Nandagopal and his nephew, Ramu for his inheritance, but unknown to them, the will has already named Madhan as the beneficiary.
Naveen (Naveen), Sendrayan (Sendrayan), Kuberan (Kuberan), and Vellaichami aka White (Rajaji) are four youngsters. The story begins with a meeting of them in a police station where they are held in connection with a robbery case. Disillusioned with society and their place in it, they plan to rob White’s treacherous uncle, who they believe has left for a pilgrimage with his entire family. Instead, they find them at home and get involved in a quagmire involving moneylenders, enforcers and the mafia.
Shakthi (Bharath) becomes the managing director of Rajasekhar group of companies following his father’s death. He feels highly dejected because of troubles surrounding him such as continuous loss in business and also his girl friend Anita (Shammu) ditches him and marries another guy. Above all Shakthi develops enmity over his mother after she decides to remarry following her husband’s death.
Bombarded with troubles, Shakthi one day leaves his office and boards a train without even knowing the destination. In the train, Shakthi meets Anjali (Tamannaah), who is more bubbly and talkative and she is on her way back to her hometown Theni after completing her studies. Anjali keeps talking to Shakthi continuously which irritates him. Shakthi plans to jump from the fast moving train to end his life, but due to Anjali presence, he could not do it. Anjali informs Shakthi that she is in love with Gautham (Munna) and also about her plans to elope with him as her family is highly orthodox.
Gandhi is an IT guy who suffers from Pseudobulbar, and he uncontrollably laughs during stressful moments. He is taken to a Shiva temple and tied with a holy ornament, which is very strong, but it would bring a threat to him if separated.
Police Pandi (Soori) the owner of a real estate agency, borrows 15 lakhs from Vatti Varadhan (John Vijay), a local rowdy and don to start his business. Murugan (Vikram Prabhu) is Pandi’s assistant, and he gives the media an advertisement in which he persuades people to buy land from ‘his’ company, making many people persuaded from it. A billionaire wants to buy all the land, and when he is about the to sign the papers, they find out the land is actually a graveyard, causing the billionaire to not buy the land. When they are in the bar drinking alcohol, a call comes on Pandi’s phone. Murugan answers it, thinking it was the broker who sold them the land, but it was actually Varadhan. Murugan talks to Varadhan in foul language, and when he ends the call, Pandi tells him it was actually Varadhan. He then goes to another table and asks a man for some wine. The whole group befriends the man, who is mute.
