Bharat has paranoid schizophrenia however it is revealed only in the end. In the first half he is a good Samaritan, a real estate guy who helps people from land grabbing mafia. He brings a stay on the power project by bringing few vital witnesses before the court of law, thereby earning Damodar’s ire. On a parallel note, Shankar loves a sweet shop owner named Saroja who reciprocates her feelings at a later point of time.

An NRI returns to his village with his family with a mission to better the lives of the village natives. But in a sudden turn of events, the NRI is left helpless, as a fellow villager steals the money and flees. The villager is now the head of a huge business empire, which is a result of his corrupt activities. The NRI returns, this time for vengeance.

Divya proposes to Krishnan, who does not reciprocate as he loves his maternal uncle’s (Shanmugarajan) daughter, Janani (Gopika). But enmity prevails between Thirumalai and his in laws’ family. Krishnan lives with the hope that the two families will unite someday paving the way for his wedding.
