Karutha Kannan Co Rekla Race (Tamil: கருத கண்ணன் கோ ரேக்ளா ரேஸ்) is a Tamil-language Action film which is Directed by A Senthil Anandhan & performed by V. Rishiraj, Subash, Sowndarya and Released on 30 December 2011.

While Mathangi’s husband Sargunam is a law-abiding citizen, her brother, Vairavan, believes in fighting for justice. Due to their clashing beliefs, Mathangi struggles to mend the rift between them.

The story is of mentally slow man, whose life is recapped to his grand-daughter. How he meets his wife (who was a widow), earns his living and fights the injustice he and his wife face.

Surya (Sanjeev) is the son of a local dada (Adithya Menon) and studies at the Chengalpet Matriculation School. His mother, who is separated from her husband, wants him to grow up as a model citizen. Unfortunately, he has more of his father’s genes and gets expelled for beating up a teacher. Surya, who is attached to his mother, gives a promise that he will not take the path to violence again, and is admitted to Lake View School in Ooty, described by its principal (Thalaivasal Vijay) as the “best school in south Asia”. Surya is looked down by his snooty seniors led by Rohit (Rohit Rathod) and his gang. The only person who stands with him is Babloo (Karthik Sabesh), and the principal’s daughter Tanya (Riya Bamniyal), who has a soft corner for him. Under extreme provocation, Surya keeps his cool as he tries to live up to his mother’s expectations. However, he breaks down after Babloo is murdered and goes on a revenge spree. The film ends on a tragic note, as the message of the film is conveyed.

Kumbudraen Saamy (Arya) is a skilled thief who cons people for a living. His cross-eyed half-brother Walter Vanangamudi (Vishal Krishna)is not so good at at the same trade. They are born to the same father but to different mothers. The two men quarrel frequently and Saamy often pokes fun at Walter’s shortcomings. Highness (GM Kumar) as he is dearly called by the brothers is a local zamindar who enjoy’s the company of both Saamy and Walter and takes an affinity toward them and treats them as his own family. Once, a masked Walter breaks into Police Constable Baby’s (Janani Iyer) house, but she recognizes the man and thwarts his attempt to rob them. Later they develop a fondness for each other, mostly born out of Walter’s childish nature and submission to Baby’s persuasiveness. Saamy too develops a relationship with Thenmozhi (Madhu Shalini) who cons him by giving him her fake gold bangles.

The story is narrated through flashbacks. Velu (Sri), a teenager, works in a roadside shop. He meets Jyothi (Urmila Mahanta), who is a maidservant at a few of the nearby apartments. Velu falls in love with Jyothi. Aarthy (Manisha Yadav) lives in one of the apartment buildings. Dinesh (Mithun Murali) is a student who resides in the same building. Dinesh is a spoilt brat. As luck would have it, Aarthy falls for him without knowing his true intentions. Dinesh too is attracted to Aarthy. He seizes the opportunity and shoots video clips of her private moments on his mobile phone and even circulates them among his friends via MMS. When Aarthy finds out, she is aghast and threatens to approach the police. An angry Dinesh tries to murder Aarthy, but Jyothi intervenes accidentally and saves her. She sustains serious injuries in the process. The movie picks up speed as the corrupt Police Inspector Kumaravel (Muthuraman) begins investigations. Kumaravel negotiates with Dinesh’s mother, who is a school correspondent but refuses to later due to her stubborn character and completes the investigation with Dinesh as the culprit of the murder attempt. But Dinesh’s mother approaches a minister with whom she has an affair with and he intervenes with Kumaravel for a negotiation between them. They agree on for an amount of ten lakh rupees. Kumaravel then talks with Velu to stand in the shoes of Dhinesh, if he wants to cure Jyothi. Velu accepts and is sentenced for several years in prison. Kumaravel with the money he got completes the construction of his house and gives nothing to Jyothi.

Krishnasamy (Arjun Sarja), a respected man, and Samiyappan (Thilakan) are in a feud for several years. Amudha (Nikitha), Krishnasamy’s daughter, hates her father because she thinks that he is a killer.
A few years before, Krishnasamy was a tea master with his friend Kandhasamy (Goundamani). After his father’s death, Krishnasamy had a lot of responsibility. He fell in love with Sindhamani (Roja). In the meantime, Samiyappan, a local don, cancelled his engagement because Sindhamani’s father promised Sindhamani to his son (Raja). One day, Krishnasamy ridiculed Samiyappan in a politic function. This humiliation irks Samiyappan, so his henchmen burnt Krishnasamy’s house and Krishnasamy’s brother who was in the house died. In anger, Krishnasamy entered Samiyappan’s house and fought against his henchmen but an honest police officer (Nagesh) arrested him before he committed murder. The police officer gave him a mission: stopping Samiyappan’s illegal activities.

Meanwhile, Australian Police are in search of Emily who is claimed to be missing for the past 10 days. Meantime, Police find Emily’s dead body who was killed and buried in Vijay’s garden and hence he is arrested. Emily’s postmortem report says that she was murdered and was buried. Further it shocks the police as they find that Vijay had actually arrived at Australia, a day after Emily’s murder. As a result, Vijay is released by the police. Following which, Vijay is all set himself to find about Emily, that who was she actually, who would have murdered her and what would have been the reason behind it, how is it possible for a dead girl to meet and speak wit him.. Finally, all these investigations result to unfold many interesting and shocking informations.
