Anbe Sivam
Nallasivam (Kamal Haasan) and Anbarasu (Madhavan) are drawn together by the strings of fate after they come into contact at the Bhuvaneshwar airport. Anbarasu is an advertisement director, while Nallasivam is a trade unionist. Fate entwines their travel plans, and they end up travelling to Chennai together. In the course of their journey, Anbarasu, born with a golden spoon, is touched by the realities of the sufferings of a normal human being when he witnesses the dead and the injured during a train accident, and he volunteers to donate his blood, which is of a very rare group, despite his fear of blood. The flashback of Nallasivam is recounted during one of their journeys. Nallasivam is a communist trade unionist, who fights for higher wages for his comrades. By chance, he falls in love with the daughter Bala (Kiran) of a rich industrialist, Bala’s father, Padaiyacchi (Nasser).

Murattu Kaidhi
Bharat has paranoid schizophrenia however it is revealed only in the end. In the first half he is a good Samaritan, a real estate guy who helps people from land grabbing mafia. In the second half however he is shown killing Dr Srinivasa Iyengar (Nasser), a police inspector Mahesh Deshpande and a minister.

Kalavani
Vimalraj (the grubby Meenakshi Sundaram from Pasanga) is the ill-behaved son of the gullible Saranya and her husband Ilavarasu. Vimalraj’s financial needs are met by his susceptible mother, whom he either hoodwinks or intimidates to fulfill his frequent needs to gamble or hang out with his friends. He pushes the boat out and spends his time whiling away, aided by his friends. In the course of the time, he also spots a girl and falls in love with her – much to the despair of her brother who nurses a rivalry against him. What happens next forms the climax.

Kyun Ho Gaya Na
Diya (Aishwarya Rai) is an intelligent university student with strong views on love and marriage. She spends much of her time at an orphanage in Coorg, helping her “Uncle” (Amitabh Bachchan) with the children living there. The story begins when Diya travels to Mumbai to write exams. While there, she stays with her father’s friend, and meets their lighthearted, free spirited son, Arjun (Vivek Oberoi). His views on love and life are completely different to hers. The pair start spending an increasing amount of time with each other and throughout all their arguments and conversations, they soon fall in love. Diya is more open about professing her feelings, while Arjun is reluctant and does not disclose his true intentions. Diya is left feeling heartbroken.

Inimey Ippadithaan
Santhanam plays the role of a jobless youth whose only ambition in life is to marry a beautiful girl. The rest of the story shows how he achieves this with the help of a love guru played by VTV Ganesh.

Pulivaal
The film revolves around the life of two people with contrasting lifestyles. Karthik (Prasanna) is a wealthy guy, while Kasi (Vimal) is a lower middle class guy who works in a supermarket. Karthik is about to be married to Pavithra (Iniya), but he is also in love with his colleague Monica (Oviya). One day, Karthik loses his phone, which has videos of him and Monica making love. The phone accidentally reaches Kasi’s hands. The rest of the plot involves the cunning tricks used by Karthik to get back his phone.

Velaiilla Pattadhari 2
The film opens two years after the events of the first film, with Anitha Constructions Civil Engineer, Raghuvaran (Dhanush) winning the Civil Engineer of the Year 2016 Award and is an executive member of his company now, along with a parking spot. His wife, Dr. Shalini (Amala Paul) becomes an authoritative, nagging wife, who controls him. She has resigned her job to take care of the household, after marriage. Raghuvaran is also dismissive about his wife getting another job. Raghuvaran efficiently completes construction projects assigned to him, with the help of about 200 unemployed young Civil, Mechanical and Electrical engineers, who are his friends. Vasundhara (Kajol), a chairman of a big construction company in South India, Vasundhara Constructions, witness the announcement of Raghuvaran’s victory at the Engineer of the Year 2016 Awards and finds out about him. She makes Raghuvaran a job offer, but he humbly refuses, having been interested in creating his own construction company, VIP Constructions.
