We get a childhood rivalry between Deva (Dinesh uncomfortable) and Villangam (Ramdoss, underutilised), a hastily built romance between Deva and Thulasi (Adhiti Menon), a back story for why Thulasi’s mother (Devayani, with a lousy hair-do) wants a son-in-law who can drive, a henpecked husband (Anandaraj, who takes on the responsibility of making us laugh), a comic character (Rajendran, in an underwritten role) who could expose the hero’s lies…

Winner
After Chennai-based Shakhti Mathur gets into fisticuffs with goons, his mother, Kamini, decides to send him to her parents’ house in the country. He re-locates there, and ends up falling in love with Neelima Pandey, who is betrothed to Karan Joshi, and the only daughter of Shankar Pandey, who has total control over a town called Thiruvatchi. When Shankar finds out, he has Neelima forcibly abducted, even cancels her wedding with Karan, and decides to wed her to Bhairav. Shakthi’s attempts to rescue her will not only jeopardize his life – but also the lives of his parents – who are being held captive by an enraged Shankar and his army of goons.

Bengal Tiger
Aakash is a guy who wants to become popular. He hits a state minister and joins him. He slowly becomes a friend of the home minister and falls in love with home minister’s daughter. On the engagement between them, in the presence of state’s chief minister, Aakash gives a huge shock to both the home and chief ministers. Rest of the story reveals the shock, and relations, flashback of Aakash with the ministers.

Masala Padam
A reality show with an ace respected producer on one side and the critics on the other side, a brickbat fight which leads one thing to another and ends up like Mudhalvan like scenario where the Producer challenges the young reviewers to come up with unique commercial movie and he would produce it. Accepting the challenge they go about in search of studying all classes of people almost in “Kathai Thiraikathai Vasanam” Style with the help of Laksmi Devy a photo journalist. They decide to make a movie out of lives of three varied personalities; Shiva the middle class funny lad, Simha the angry goon, Gaurav the spoilt dude and as usual how love can change perspective and what happens in the end forms the plot.

Jambulingam 3D
It’s a story about an Indian village guy, Jumbulingam, who travels to Japan for a show to assist an International magician Vittal. During the tour he gets lost in a place called Toyama far from Tokyo with the magician’s assistant, Irene. They accidentally save a kidnapped little girl on their attempt to get back to Tokyo and that’s where the adventure begins.

Mumbai Express
Three amateur thieves plot to kidnap the young son of wealthy Chettiar (Santhana Bharathi) from school. They do a trial run. However, on the eve of the kidnap, the guy whose job is to operate a crane in this plan is hospitalized. The services of Avinasi a.k.a. Mumbai Xpress (Kamal Haasan), brother of Kovai Sarala, a deaf stuntman performing daredevil bike acts, is roped in. Twists and turns take place where the other two gang members are hurt, and invariably, our Mumbai Xpress is left to perform the task all by himself. He kidnaps a wrong boy Daddu (Hardhik), the illegitimate son of Ahalya (Manisha Koirala) and police officer Rao (Nassar), but manages to get a huge ransom from Chettiar by default. A brawl takes place between the original kidnap planners – Chidambaram (Pasupathy), Johnson (Vaiyapuri), and Avinasi – in handling Ahalya’s child, but Avinasi delivers the child unhurt to his mother.

Barfi!
Murphy “Barfi” Johnson (Ranbir Kapoor) is an optimistic , street-wise, charming young man who was born deaf to a Nepali couple in Darjeeling. His mother died when he was a baby and his father raised him alone while working as a chauffeur. Barfi is known as a troublemaker – he cuts lampposts, plays practical jokes on innocent people, and is chased by Sudhanshu Dutta (Saurabh Shukla), a local police officer. Barfi meets Shruti Ghosh (Ileana D’Cruz), who has just arrived in Darjeeling; she is engaged to Ranjeet Sengupta (Jisshu Sengupta) and is due to get married in three months, and Barfi is immediately smitten with Shruti. She also falls in love with Barfi but her mother dissuades her from pursuing him because he could not take care of her with his disabilities and lack of money. Shruti takes her mother’s advice, gets married, and moves to Kolkata, breaking all contact with Barfi.
