Life of Pi
In Canada, novelist Yann Martel meets Pi Patel; Martel has been told that Pi’s life story would be a good subject for a book. Pi tells his story to Yann:
Pi’s father names him Piscine Molitor Patel after the swimming pool in France. In secondary school in Pondicherry, he adopts the name “Pi” (the Greek letter, π) to avoid the sound-alike nickname “Pissing Patel”. He is raised in a Hindu family, but at 12 years old, is introduced to Christianity and then Islam, and decides to follow all three religions as he “just wants to love God”. His mother supports his desire to grow, but his rationalist father tries to secularize him. Pi’s family owns a zoo, and Pi takes interest in the animals, especially a Bengal tiger named Richard Parker. After Pi gets dangerously close to Richard Parker, his father forces him to witness the tiger killing a goat.

Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai
Preeti Vyas (Aishwarya Rai) is a young woman who bravely comes forward as a witness to a heinous assault carried by Bhavani Choudhry (Mukesh Rishi) and his men on a poor teacher whose land they wanted. The injured man is helped to the hospital by Preeti and a courteous and brave man called Avinash (Anil Kapoor), who holds strong morals and values.
Preeti’s testimony angers the Choudhry family and, as a result, Choudhry’s younger brother, Babloo Choudhry (Puru Raajkumar), rapes her. Subsequently, she becomes disgrace to her own family so she is disowned and ostracised by society, so she leaves her house with nowhere to go.

Marupadiyum
Marupadiyum is an emotional and psychological drama that focuses on the central female protagonist, a wife caught up in marital discord played by Revathi and her life henceforth. Revathi is married to Ravi, a movie director who has an extra marital affair with his star heroine, played by Rohini. Revathi discovers this intimacy between her husband and Rohini but is treated with indifference by her husband. Ravi moves on to get a divorce from Revathi. Revathi pleads with Ravi not to proceed with the divorce and asks Rohini to leave her husband but both disagree to do so. Arvind Swamy, a stranger, helps and befriends Revathi after she leaves her husband. Rohini faces mental anguish as she feels guilty with another woman’s husband and becomes psychologically affected. Ravi ends up in dilemma between his wife and his lover. (Aravind Swamy) turns into a dependable friend and asks Revathi to marry him but Revathi has to choose her own path.[2]

Hey Ram
The movie begins at present day with Saket Ram (Kamal Haasan), an 89-year-old Hindu man at his death bed in Madras. He is being taken care of by his grandson Saket Ram Junior, a famous novelist who writes historical fiction, and their family doctor, Munawar. Ram Jr. explains how he grew up listening to his grandfather’s stories. He then narrates one of his grandfather’s strangest stories that he plans to use for his next novel. As Ram Jr. narrates the story, Ram is reminded of it.
The scene reverts to the 1940s, when he and his good friend, Amjad Ali Khan (Shah Rukh Khan) are archaeologists working together under their boss, Mortimer Wheeler, in Mohenjo-daro in the Sindh province in what was then North-West India. Relations are pleasant between the Indians and the English. Saket and Amjad do not approve of partition and the creation of Pakistan.

Sri Rama Rajyam
Lord Rama’s life is one of perfect adherence to dharma (righteousness) despite harsh tests of life and time. Sri Rama Rajyam movie explains how poet Valmiki, the author of the epic Ramayana narrates the script in general. The movie further showcases the incidents in Lord Rama’s life and how his journey goes on after he saves Sita from Raavana and also highlights the main principle’s of Ramayama and Lord Rama i.e. How An Ideal Son, An Ideal Brother, An Ideal Husband and An Ideal Emperor should be. The film starts with the arrival of Rama and Sita to Ayodhya after vanquishing Ravan in Lanka. Rama is now the king of Ayodhya. Under his rule the people are happy and prosperous. Just when everything seems to be going fine, a comment by a washer man makes Rama to send Sita away into the forest. From here the real story of Sri Rama Rajyam begins. Sita is given shelter by Sage Valmiki. He keeps her identity a secret and looks after her as his own daughter. Sita gives birth to Lava and Kusha. Valmiki imparts knowledge to them and also teaches them how to use weapons (Artha Vidya). They also study Ramayana and Valmiki asks them to preach the story across the length and breadth of Ayodhya. At this juncture, Rama plans to conduct Ashwamedha Yagnam for the welfare of the people.
