The journey of a young school teacher to prove her father’s innocence with the help of a juvenile advocate who’s never even seen the interiors of a court hall.
Set in the 1950s, the film begins with Anandan (Mohanlal), a struggling actor, seeking opportunities which will give him a big break in the film industry. Under his uncle’s help, Anandan is given an opportunity to audition for the lead role in a forthcoming film. He arrives in the studio and practices his combat skills with sword props provided on the sets while waiting for the director and the crew. At this, he meets Tamizhselvan (Prakash Raj), a small-time writer who enters the studio with some sarcastic poetry and this prompts both into a little debate. The debate turns into a mutual respect for each other, and impressed by Tamizhselvan’s skills, Anandan requests Tamizhselvan to write dialogues for him to recite during the audition.
Shah Rukh Khan and Sharad Kapoor are the leaders of the two rival gangs. Aishwarya Rai is Shah Rukh Khan’s twin sister. Shah Rukh is in love with Priya Gill. Chandrachur Singh is Sharad Kapoor’s younger brother who studies in a catering college in Bombay. He comes to Goa to visit his brother and plans to go back and start a restaurant there. He sees Aishwarya and falls in love with her. Chandrachur gives up the idea of going back to Bombay and opens a bakery in Goa. When Shah Rukh comes to know about the romance between Aishwarya and Chandrachur, the fight between the gang turns more violent. How the conflict is resolved is the rest of the story.
Odu Raja Odu
Manohar (Guru Somasundaram) is a jobless struggling writer whose wife pressurises him to get a set top box for her and he goes out with his friend who is a drug peddler, Peter (Venkatesh Harinathan) to fulfill her wish for their wedding anniversary. But to their misfortune, both Manohar and Peter are threatened by gangster Veerabadhran (Deepak Bagga) and his sidekick to close a deal for them. However things go awry for them as they land in a retired gangster Kali Muthu’s (Nassar) place for help, but it only lead to another mishap.
Mr & Mrs Arjun
The movie begins with Jeeva (Ajith Kumar), a driving instructor, leading a happy life with his mother (Sujatha). He also fell in love with Swapna (Pooja Umashankar) after several mishaps. Sujatha hides the Jeeva truth that his father (Nizhalgal Ravi), was murdered by a dada named Manthiram (Babu Antony). The mother, much against the boy’s wish, packs off Jeeva’s twin brother, Guru (also Ajith Kumar) with a family who offer to adopt him, who had been witness to the murderer from a close quarter, to a distant town. He escapes from the family and goes to Tuticorin and grows to become a gangster there.
When Jeeva visits Tuticorin, he comes across his elder brother, Guru a.k.a. Thala. Seizing the opportunity, the elder brother kidnaps the younger one and decides to go as the driving instructor to Chennai. Initially, he plans to take revenge on his mother for packing him off from their house at a very young age. He hurts her at every step and even plans to sell off all their property.
