Kyun Ho Gaya Na
Diya (Aishwarya Rai) is an intelligent university student with strong views on love and marriage. She spends much of her time at an orphanage in Coorg, helping her “Uncle” (Amitabh Bachchan) with the children living there. The story begins when Diya travels to Mumbai to write exams. While there, she stays with her father’s friend, and meets their lighthearted, free spirited son, Arjun (Vivek Oberoi). His views on love and life are completely different to hers. The pair start spending an increasing amount of time with each other and throughout all their arguments and conversations, they soon fall in love. Diya is more open about professing her feelings, while Arjun is reluctant and does not disclose his true intentions. Diya is left feeling heartbroken.

Aan Pavam
Pandian and Pandiarajan are two notorious sons of the village cinema theater owner V. K. Ramasamy. Pandian goes to a neighbouring village to see a girl as arranged by his father towards his marriage and ends up in the wrong house. Coincidentally, those in the wrong house are also expecting a lad to see their daughter on the same time and the same day. Contrary to real time arranged marriages, Pandian goes to see the girl totally un-aided by parents, relatives and friends. Nevertheless, he takes a liking to the girl, Seetha and decides to marry her. Seetha likes the lad and decides to accept the proposal.
Meanwhile, Seetha’s marriage broker shows up and clarifies that Pandian was supposed to have gone to see some other girl but ended up in the wrong house. Hearing this, Pandian, Seetha and Seetha’s parents seem disappointed. Pandian’s father fixes dates for her marriage to the girl originally chosen for him — Revathi, a school teacher’s daughter. Pandian’s adamance to marry Seetha causes a strange turn of events. Pandiyarajan, the younger brother, finally marries Revathi while Pandian ties the knot with this love Seetha.

Oru Kanavu Pola
The film is a story of two childhood friends who live their lives to the fullest. The story focuses on the friendship, love lives and careers of both the friends and how one of them sacrifices his life at the cost of his career.

Radha Krishna (Sharwanand) has had a high opinion about police ever since he was a child. A B-grade Lord Krishna devotee, he grows up to be a cop because he believes that cops are the modern-day saviors the Bhagawad Gita might have talked about.

Kavalai Vendam
Aravind (played by Jiiva) is a flirt who falls in love and marries Divya (Kajal Aggarwal). They have an argument and Divya breaks up with Aravind near a liquor outlet. She returns to his life after a long time only to seek divorce from him. He takes a blank cheque from her and puts another condition for signing the divorce papers. He wants her to live with him in his house for a week and do all the wifely duties such as cooking and cleaning. She agrees to this and the film goes south from there.

Kuselan
Balakrishnan (Pasupathy) is the owner of a barber shop in a remote village. His family consists of his wife Sridevi (Meena) and three children. Balakrishnan struggles to persuade customers to visit his barber shop while his competitor Shanmugham (Vadivelu), a former worker of Balakrishnan who has his own barber shop across from Balakrishnan’s, uses cunning means to make business in haircutting. Balakrishnan’s downfall in business causes him to neglect paying his children’s school fees. Although he struggles to make a living, he still enjoys spending time with his family.
