This film is about a young aspiring Cricketer Jeeva, who dreams of playing for the India national cricket team one day. The films begins with Jeeva, sitting in a park bench and starts to narrate his life story. He is a lower middle class boy, who from the very young age is interested in cricket. He sees Sachin Tendulkar as his idol. Though his father initially does not support him, he later starts to do so on the request of his friend. Jeeva grows up and becomes a part of the school team. He excels in his game and turns out to be a star player. Seeing his performances, a local cricket club offers him a chance to join and train with them, for which his father disagrees saying that his academic performance is poor due to cricket and he may not get a job in future. In between Jeeva falls in love with his neighbour girl and they are broken up when their family comes to know about this. Jeeva starts to drink due to this heartbreak. So to make him concentrate on good deeds again, Jeeva’s father agrees to let him join the cricket club.

Prabhu meets Eeswari on the train and without knowing that she is Ilango’s wife, falls in love with her. When the truth comes out she becomes good friends with the gang while they promise to find Ilango and reunite them.

Surya (Prashanth) is a carefree youth living in Malaysia with his brother Chandramohan (Raghuvaran) and sister-in-law Devi (Sukanya). Chandramohan and Devi are childless because of a problem with Chandramohan. Surya falls in love with dancer Priya (Riya Sen) and manages to steal her heart too. Just when things seem happy, a bombshell is dropped by a Sister Mary who tells Surya that he is the father of a small girl Pooja. Pooja must undergo an operation to save her life but insists on seeing her dad before agreeing to the operation. Surya agrees to pose as her dad and is forced to do so on a more permanent basis even after the operation is done. He is driven out of the house and loses Priya, who agrees to wed an earlier suitor, Shyam (Sanjay Asrani). Person who happens to be the dad of Pooja’s mother wants to kill Surya for cheating his daughter but ends up being arrested by police. Second half shifts to Cruise ship, where Chandramohan finds out that Pooja is actually his daughter. The film ends with Surya and Priya reuniting.

The movie begins with the search for an actress Anjali (Sonia Agarwal) by a scribe (‘Punnagai Poo’ Geetha). Cut to flashback, the travails of Anjali is revealed. Anjali is the daughter of a poor folk artiste Devarajulu (‘Yogi’ Devaraj) in Andhra Pradesh. One day, her mother resolves to make her an actress and comes to Kodambakkam. The mother and daughter climb every stairs and go around every studio in Kodambakkam and Vadapalani. They meet with failures everywhere until they are forced to agree for casting couch. One compromise on the part of Anjali bags her heroine’s role. She fortunately makes it big. The nature of her mother changes… She becomes greedy and runs madly behind money. Anjali is exploited by few in the industry. Unable to tolerate all humiliation, Anjali decides to take extreme decision in her life.
