Vetrivel (Vishnu Vishal), an MBA graduate who doesn’t find a job, lives with his family in the temple city of Madurai. One day, his father gives him Rs.1500 to e-recharge his mobile phone. But under confusion, he says the number to the recharge girl fast, and she recharges to another number which belongs to Priya (Remya Nambeesan). After some time, he realizes and asks her to return the money. While they meet, they fall in love and decide to get married. She asks him to see her father, who is a Police Sub-Inspector in Ranuvapetai. He asks him to join the army or at least become a police officer, only then he will allow him to marry his daughter. Then The rest of the story revolves how Vetri succeeds in love and job despite bad selection officers at selection. In the meantime, Vetri also makes friends with other participants at the selection.

Maayavi
Abhes Balayya (Suriya), the guide conman thief, is footloose and fancy-free. He and his acolyte Sathyaraj (Sathyan) have no hangups in life. He is also a huge fan of actor Ajith Kumar. Balayya’s problems start when he and Sathyaraj land up in a huge villa on the beachfront. It is actually actress Jothika’s (Jyothika) house. When they realize it, they want to replace what they have taken. As it happens, the actress catches them and creates a huge issue out of it. For their efforts, they are put behind bars. Jothika does not like Balayya at all. Balayya goes out to take revenge on her and kidnap her. Just about when the whole industry and her family tries to trace Jothika, she understands the real Balayya. In the end, Balayya comes to see her and gives her a gift, which is the photographs they took together.

A Wednesday
An unnamed man (Naseeruddin Shah) carries a travel bag, assumed to contain explosives, in the Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus railway station and proceeds to hide the bag in the restroom of a police station opposite to the Mumbai Police headquarters. He then arrives on the rooftop of a building under construction where he has set up his base of operations, equipped with several sim cards, mobile phones and other electronic gadgets. He calls Rathod and informs him that he has placed five bombs in locations throughout Mumbai and has programmed them to explode simultaneously within four hours unless the Commissioner gives in to his demands and releases four militants. In response, Rathod immediately alerts his team involved in intelligence research and surveillance, tapping all the available resources to trace the location of the caller. Meanwhile, the caller tips off television news reporter Naina Roy (Deepal Shaw), telling her to reach the police headquarters immediately as it is going to be “the most important day of her life”. Rathod initially suspects the anonymous caller is bluffing, but his doubts are dispelled as the caller, to prove his seriousness and the police force’s helplessness, reveals that a bomb has been planted in the Colaba Police Station right across the Police Headquarter. He further scares them by calling the cell phone attached to the bomb but does not detonate the bomb. Just then Roy reaches the scene on the caller’s instructions and reports about the situation.

NGK
An educated do-gooder is forced to enter politics in order to serve society. But, will the old guard make way and allow him to do that?

Ji
Vasu (Ajith Kumar) is a happy-go-lucky final-year college student who is forced to contest elections in the college after being persuaded by his friends Arun (Nithin Sathya) and Venkat Prabhu. He incurs the wrath of the local MLA Varadharajan (Charan Raj), whose son is studying in the same college and is also contesting the elections.
In the course of events, Varadharajan’s gang attacks Vasu and his friends. Vasu’s father Seenu (Vijayakumar), a tea shop owner, advises the students to take a plunge in politics and teach bad apples like Varadharajan a lesson. Taking cue from his words, Vasu does take the plunge in politics with the backing of college students and files a nomination for the assembly election in Kumbakonam constituency. Varadharajan is annoyed and angry at Vasu’s presumptuousness and tells him to back off from the elections. But Vasu goes ahead with his plans. The rest is a sequence of events by which Vasu wins the admiration of masses and succeeds in getting elected as MLA.
