Pannaiyarum Padminiyum
The story is single layered and revolves around a car. A village Pannaiyar or landlord (Jayaprakash) takes a liking for a Fiat Premier Padmini car that has been left in his care by a friend. Pannaiyar falls in love with the car and appoints Murugesan (Vijay Sethupathi) a tractor driver as his personal driver. Soon the car becomes an all-purpose vehicle for the villagers. But for Pannaiyar, his wife Chellamma (Thulasi) and Murugesan, the car is a like a family member. Due to unavoidable circumstances the car is taken away leaving them heartbroken.

Viswanath), despite being in a relationship with a woman named Yamini. He is an alcoholic and his teenage son Manohar (Ashwin) despises him. He has a daughter Manonmani (Parvathy) who was born out of wedlock to Yamini and was raised by Yamini’s husband Jacob Zachariah (Jayaram) after Yamini’s death. She also despises Manoranjan. He has been diagnosed with advanced stage brain cancer and has only a few more months to live, which is unknown to anyone including his own family. He is treated by his family doctor Dr. Arpana (Andrea Jeremiah), with whom he has an extramarital affair.
