Govindudu Andarivadele
Balaraju, the head of his village, lives with his wife Baby, his two sons; Chandrasekhar Rao and Bangari, and his two daughters. He helps Chandrasekhar become a doctor and builds a local hospital. On the day it opens, Chandrasekhar comes back home with his lover Kausalya, also a doctor. Both express their wish to marry, which Balaraju agrees to. But, they also wish to settle abroad, which upsets Balaraju, leading to the separation of the father and son.
25 years later, Chandrasekhar, a successful doctor in London, tells the story to his son Abhiram and daughter Indu. Abhiram decides to go home to Balaraju and attempt a reconciliation. He meets his friend, Bunny, at the airport and goes to the village on Bunny’s bike the next day. On the way, he witnesses a cockfight organised by Bangari and Baachi; he gets the help of Balaraju to pardon Bangari and get Baachi arrested. Abhiram then introduces himself as a student from London who came here to learn agricultural practices and martial arts. He particularly impresses Balaraju’s family when he saves a child’s life and so is allowed to stay with them.

Thugs of Hindostan
In 1795, when the Indian subcontinent was known as Hindustan or Hindostan, king Mirza Sikander Baig was killed by John Clive. The residents of his kingdom are massacred, and the land is annexed by the British. The only survivors are his daughter, Zafira Baig, and general, Khudabaksh. Khudabaksh defeats the retreating enemy soldiers, and raises Zafira as his daughter, training her in the arts of warfare.
Years later, Khudabaksh, now known as Jahaazi (Amitabh Bachchan), leads a band of Indian bandits known as Thugs, who specialise in sea-based warfare and expose a serious challenge to the expanding British East India Company which had, by then, seized control of large parts of India. John Clive is alarmed, and assigns his right-hand to counter the rising threat posed by the Thugs.

Paiyaa
The journey of two strangers-a jobless carefree man,and a woman with whom he has fallen in love. Upon the woman’s request, he drives her to Mumbai, while a group of gangsters follow them, planning to kidnap the woman.

Pandhayam

Gentleman
In Ooty, Krishnamoorthy alias Kicha (Arjun) and Mani (Goundamani) perform a swashbuckling heist of money of several crores while being in disguise diverting the attention of police, and escape in Nilgiri Mountain Railway, much to the frustration of a chasing police officer Ratnam (Ajay Rathnam). Kicha is a respected citizen who runs a home-based pappadam business along with Mani in Chennai. Susheela (Madhoo), one of Kicha’s many female employees, has a crush on him and is constantly demanding his attention. Another thing adding to her woes is the arrival of her jovial cousin Sugandhi (Subhashri). She makes the place so lively and playful with silly fights between Mani and Babloo (Senthil). Sugandhi later develops a crush on Kicha, especially after being saved by him from some molesting goons. Kicha reveals to her that he has no such feelings for her and wants her to find a suitable mate. Before leaving Chennai, Sugandhi steals Kicha’s ring as a souvenir.
