A high school student with amnesia tries to uncover what has happened to her. All leading her into deeper troubles ultimately revealing a darkness she could not have imagined.

Velu (R. Sarathkumar) is living happily with his sister and friend Pazhani (Vadivelu) in Palani. He stays away from all wanted troubles and is forced to resort to fighting to defend his sister from the local rowdy Raghavan (Vincent Asokan). A flashback follows where it is revealed that Velu is a military officer and his sister is actually the sister of his best friend, Police Officer Murugan (Kalabhavan Mani) of Chennai. It is also revealed that Velu had maintained a low profile to protect his sister from his foe Naachiyar (Kota Srinivasa Rao) whom he had left crippled before he went into hiding.

Situations push a common man to oppose an influential guy in his area and how he develops himself stronger to fight back his enemies forms the crux of the story.

Will he be able to become a Don? Will he set his people free from the age old slavery? Forms the plot of the movie.

Sami Srinivasan (Srikanth), a Brahmin boy, and his friend Karunakaran (Vishnu) grow up in the Royapuram slums and attend the same school. Karuna is a rough and tough boy, but Sami is bit naive. They are close buddies. Once, they see their class teacher Roja (Pooja Umashanker) being brutally murdered before their eyes by a gangster. Dejected at local police not taking any action, Karuna kills the gangster but gets caught by cops. Sami tells the police that Karuna committed the murder. Though both are bailed out of trouble, enmity brews between them. As years roll, hatred increases: Sami is against Karuna. Trouble erupts when Sami loves Karuna’s sister Malar (Poorna). In the meantime, Shruthi (Poonam Bajwa) loves Karuna. What happens between the two forms the rest of the film.

Deepika’s family decide to get her married off while Keeripulla also wants his son to get married. Soon, Madhavan and Deepika fall in love with each other. What transpires next forms the rest of the story.
